 Description:

You are invited to join us in commemorating the 112th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence! Come to the largest annual Filipino gathering in Michigan.

Organized and presented by FilAmCCo with the sponsoring Downriver Filipino American Association of Michigan.

There will be plenty of Filipino food for all to enjoy, games for all ages and celebrations.

We invite everyone to attend. Come and bring your friends and neighbors. This year, I am especially calling out to those Filipinos that have not been involved lately.

I want this to be a huge celebration and reunion. Were you a involved in F.A.C.E., C-Ya or other Filipino Youth Groups back in the day? Maybe you ran for Ms. or even Mr. Philippines back then. Well, where have you been lately? Come and get involved again. Remember coming as kids? Now, enjoy as an adult and bring your kids! Come see your pictures and reunite in the NEW reunion tent! Bring your old photos as well.

As this year's Chairman of the Kalayaan Picnic, I promise you will not be disappointed. It's a whole NEW party! Get involved!

SOCIAL MEDIA NOW AVAILABLE IN CHAMBER’S WEBSITE FOR MEMBERS PDF Print E-mail

The advent of technology truly touched the everyday lives of people around th US and beyond. Truly social media is a great influence, a means of communicating and sometimes merely an expression of one’s self. Facebook, Twitter and Linked In are but a few social media sites that generally carries the biggest population ever of family networks, friends, followers, twitters and bloggers, spheres of influence and business networks. Alongside our chamber’s vision to promote and enhance economic growth for Filipino-American businesses and professionals indeed social media will play a major role in defining and creating these wonderful leads for anything each member hopes to achieve by itself.

However, the surge of these information must be carefully watched and monitored for some basic rules or compliance guidelines such as no language of profanity, no indecent pictures and the outlying legality of every content posted must be closely monitored for compliance purposes. The website committee are streamlining some facts and content guidelines that will be made available in the near future for everyone who wants to make use of the realm of social media. A few basic rules are responsibility, moderation and relevance are still the key in communicating what you feel in the cyberspace for its business and professional population to read and know.

As you visit, the website at www.pccmichigan.org you will noticed the Facebook icon in all pages and that brings you to Facebook and back to the website and vice versa. This is just one of the few enhancements the chamber wants its members to use a means and tool to communicate more with clients and allied partners and members, services providers for a flawless flow of information to its membership. Be a fan, and spread the word, every member’s success is the success of the chamber as a whole.
