The networking event held by the PCCM on August 18, 2010 at Coventry Place in Troy was different in some ways from the past networking affairs. First, the event was held outdoor, giving it a more convivial ambiance. It was in keeping with PCCM's policy of making the monthly acitivity more of an enjoyable, friendly occasion than strictly business meeting. Second, it was different in that it was the first time that the participants shed off their business suiits and wore gaudy Hawaiian outfits complete with leis. Third, the self-introduction by the participants was so informal that it allowd levity. Ferdie Astorga drew uproarious laughter when he introduced his business, which he cautiously described as "the end of the line". Well, it is indeed the end of the line as Ferdie is engaged in the funeral business. Fourth, the food served was not the usual. Because the event was held outdoor, grilling could be done. Delicious grilled hamburgers and hot dogs were the main fare. The innovation in the networking event was credited to Randy Gungab and Beth Tibudan, President and Senior Management Consultant of TAG Solutuions Inc., respectively, which hosted the memorable affair. TAG Solutions is a full service accounting and tax-consulting firm. Kudos to Randy & Beth!! More thant 50 PCCM members and non-members attended and were able to network and get key referrals for their businesses and professions.
