Kiwanis Club of Cosmopolitan Detroit Division 1 - Michigan District of Kiwanis International
I'm happy and proud to support the birth of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce - Michigan under the able lead of its many fine officers. This organization will provide an excellent link among Filipino businesses in Michigan. More importantly, it will give us the opportunity to patronize Filipino owned businesses and professional services available to us.
Kiwanis and some local businesses had formed partnerships to carry on some of its principal objectives. As you well know, Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers committed to helping the world, one child and one community at a time. As president of Kiwanis Club of Cosmopolitan Detroit, I endorse PCCM as we Kiwanians partner with businesses in the sponsorship of school clubs such as the Kiwanis Kids, Builders Club and Key Club whereby schools seek local businesses to provide tokens, rewards, certificates, give-aways and food-themed parties to reward students in their various Kiwanis activities such as the "Terrific Kids" and "Bring Up Your Grades" programs.
The PCCM will help cultivate and preserve our cultural heritage through interactive communications among businesses and members of the community. This is truly an exciting venture to have, being able to showcase the relationships of Filipino businessmen and the Filipino consumers in our state.
I look forward to the active support of our Michigan residents for our local Filipino businesses. Now that we have established our own Philippine Chamber of Commerce, we have created a very meaningful bond among Filipino Michigan residents and a successful enterprise that will serve the needs of our community.
